Anne of Green Gables is just pure cozy magic to me. It’s warm, inviting, and always ready to be an escape from the world. This lovely addition to the Classic Lit collection of paintings is inspired by Anne of Green Gables - in fact, it’s taken almost straight from the description of the Lake of Shining Waters in the first book (with a little artistic license). I also slipped in some references to later events in the story, like Anne and Gilbert walking toward each other, the boat from the Lily Maid adventure, and the signal light in Diana’s window.
This painting is 16×20” on gallery-wrapped canvas. It’s painted with acrylic paint and finished with protective sealant to preserve it from UV rays (sunlight), water, and scratching.
